Memorial service for Victor Koll at 11am on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 North Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, Arizona (cemetery entrance is just east of Cave Creek Road on Pinnacle Peak Road). Victor, a much decorated Coast Guard officer, was born in Lithuania in 1922 and passed away of natural causes on July 21, 2016 in Sun City West. Captain Koll was wounded in action in the occupation of French Morroco during World War II. As commander of a Coast Guard ship, Victor rescued 7 soldiers from a torpedoed and burning ship off the coast of Morroco. During his 33 years of service, Capt. Koll commanded 6 ships.
